MidiVox Filter Attack! (... and release)

The MidiVox shield turns a basic Arduino microcontroller into a standalone MIDI synthesizer with parameters tweakable via MIDI CC messages. Hook up a controller with a DIN5 (aka MIDI) cable to the shield's MIDI input, upload a sketch and play. The above demonstration vid explores some of the various *bloOOrpp* styles possible with the MidiVox "Healer" sketch (adapted from the Squealer synth by Marc Nostromo) . The source code can, of course, be completely modified/hacked/bent beyond all recognition - but as is Healer sports the following params controllable by way of MIDI CC #0-8 : * Filter resonance, cutoff, mix, & envelope controls * Waveform length/truncatation * Note attack & release * Velocity sensitivity * & 6 selectable waveforms More info can be found over at - narbotic.com And kits for the project are available via Maker Shed - bit.ly happy synthing, C PS - I do play the white keys every once in a while - honest!
